What is BOOKCHUM.com?

BOOKCHUM is an online library that aims at inculcating the love for reading among one and all at an affordable price from the comfort of their home. At BOOKCHUM you can buy or borrow books of your choice and get it delivered at home.

 

How can I request for home delivery of items?

Requesting Home Delivery of the books is just a click away:

1. Login to your personal account

2. Browse through the books

3. Select the books that you like by clicking the "ADD TO Q" Button

4. Go to your "Rental Q"

5. Select items in "Rental Q" and click "Delivery" button

And your selected item will be delivered to your home.

 

How fast will I get my selected items?

Once you have requested for delivery, your requested items will be delivered to your home within 2-3 working days. You would also get an email once the books are dispatched.

 

How can I pay for my membership?

You can pay Cheque or Cash. Cheque should be drawn favour of BOOKCHUM. Our team will arrange to collect the Cheque/Cash from your location. Online Payment option would be activated shortly.

 

Is your website secure?

We use PayU Money payment gateway. This means that when you choose to pay online, we only connect you to the PayU Money fully secure payment gateway. Your Card details are not stored with us at any point of time and all the information is with the payment gateway.

In addition to this our website is SSL certified, i.e. all the personal information and transactions are fully secured.

 

How many books you have in your library?

We have huge collection of books  for kids as well as adults. We believe our library is the largest in the area. Our library is updated with new items every month. We keep our member updated about new addition of items through emails/SMS/Facebook.

 

What do I do if I lose or damage a book?

You can send us an email at customercare@bookchum.com. You shall be liable to pay the value of the book by cash/Cheque.

 

How do I cancel Membership? Will I receive refund if I cancel membership before its due date?

If you choose to cancel your membership at any point of time before your membership expires, please drop in a mail to customercare@bookchum.com

Please note there will be no pro rata refund of the membership amount. Your Security deposit after adjusting the damages (if any) shall be refunded. All refunds will be done to your bank account. No cash refunds.

 

How do I upgrade my plan?

You can upgrade/change your plan only at the end of your membership. Any change midway is not possible at the moment.

 

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Please click on forget password and you shall receive a mail on your registered mail id with you with password details. You could also write to customercare@bookchum.com

 

Can I rejoin once I have cancelled my membership?

Yes, we are happy to welcome you back. You can join us back at anytime. You can login with your registered id and password and start afresh anytime without any hassle.

 

Once I’m done reading the books how do I return it?

Once you have finished reading the books you can go to My Rental Q ----Select the books to be returned under Return Q and click Return. Also select the new set of books, which you wish to order. Our team will come to pick up the book from your home.

 

How can I buy books without subscribing to any rental plans?

You can select BUY  option and order your books. We offer competitive prices and the books shall be delivered to your home. Please note we do not accept any return unless the book is damaged or a wrong item has been delivered.

 

I am a frequent reader and wish to order single book and return it as soon as I finish it. Which plan shall I select?

 

You can select our FREQUENT READER PLAN .You will get unlimited books. The book shall be delivered within 2 days of your request. You will be charged for the delivery every time you order the book in addition to the plan charges. The delivery charges will be conveyed to you through mail.

 

Do you have any franchisee?

We would love to hear from like-minded people for franchisee options. Do drop in a mail if you are keen and we shall get in touch with you.
